NYPAC, the New York Performance Artists Collective, is pleased to present comic poet / showgirl Cecilia Corrigan's "The Coldest Princess Wave," a lush night of comedy out of the darkness of winter. For "The Coldest Princess Wave" Corrigan brings together special celebrity guests – including Cammisa Buerhaus, Felix Bernstein, and living Bushwick Barbie Doll Macy Rodman – in a blend of talk show, poetry reading, and stand-up. The weather outside is frightful, and as everyone knows, the best cure for hypothermia is a shared sleeping bag. "The Coldest Princess Wave" is that sleeping bag, and once you're zipped in with us, you'll thaw out in no time.
Cecilia Corrigan has debuted her performances in New York and Los Angeles. Her debut book, Titanic (Northwestern University Press, 2014), was awarded the Madeleine P. Plonsker Prize for a first book, and appeared on two of Flavorwire's “Books of the Year” lists for 2014, for academic press and poetry titles. She has previously worked on HBO's Luck, for show-runner David Milch, and recently completed her first feature screenplay. In addition to writing for television, film, and theater, she has published fiction in n+1 & elsewhere, and performs stand up comedy. Material on Corrigan: BOMB Magazine / Artists Space / Opening Ceremony / Coldfront / Adult

NYPAC, the New York Performance Artists Collective, is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the production, accessibility, and scholarship of performative and intermedia art. Conceived in 2013 by Fabian Bernal and Samuel Draxler, NYPAC engages the mass of decentralized but networked artistic talent in the New York region through site-specific performances and events, written and curatorial positions, and online and offsite exhibitions. These projects focus on different contexts of bodies and performers, welcoming queer, feminist, and institutional approaches and critiques. NYPAC is made possible with the generous support of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
